Our Managing Director: Whitney Loy
Mr. Loy joined the McCarton Foundation in 2012 and was named the first Managing Director in 2015. He works closely with Dr. McCarton to advance and execute her vision and to ensure clinical and educational excellence in all McCarton programs. He played an integral role in setting the foundation’s new course, and his leadership throughout the planning, building, and operating of McCarton’s exceptional therapeutic and educational programs has resulted in transformative growth.
From 2012-2015, he served as the Director of Development & Communication for the McCarton Foundation, the McCarton School, and the Children’s Academy. Under his direction, fundraising revenue for the Children’s Academy increased by nearly 100% annually. He also oversaw the development and communication of each organization’s unique brand through both traditional and digital channels including community-building events, family outreach programs, and web and mobile applications built especially for families with children attending the schools.
Prior to joining the McCarton team, Loy served as the Director of Events and Sponsorship for Rodman & Renshaw, a leading investment bank. While there, he played a key leadership role in planning and executing Rodman & Renshaw’s international investment conferences in Beijing, Shanghai, London, Monaco, New York, and other cities across the United States. Mr. Loy also built Rodman & Renshaw’s conference sponsorship program, which generated millions in revenue. His creative decision to add a cause-related overlay to the conferences by adding charity partners brought the events positive media attention and a significant increase in sponsorship revenue for the bank. Rodman & Renshaw continues to have charity partners for conferences and events and has donated millions to nonprofits around the world.
Prior to working with Rodman & Renshaw, Mr. Loy served as Director of Development for Ragtag Cinema and True/False Film Festival, an art-house film theater and one of the country’s largest and most prestigious documentary film festivals. There, he was responsible for managing the completion of a multi-million dollar capital campaign, doubling the number of their board of directors, and successfully redesigning their membership program.
Loy is a magna cum laude graduate of the University of Missouri, where he earned a Bachelor’s degree in Strategic Communication and Theatre.
