Bio: Amanda LaMunyon is 17 years old and attends Oklahoma Bible Academy. She began painting beautiful impressionistic paintings at age 7 and at 8 was diagnosed with Asperger’s Syndrome. Amanda is an award-winning activist for the cause of autism.
She spoke at the United Nations for the Inaugural World Autism Awareness Day with Autism Speaks and exhibits her art with “Strokes of Genius”. She sang at Carnegie Hall with Leona Mitchell for the Mc Carton Foundation. She enjoys acting, singing and public speaking. She shares her talents with many charitable organizations for children’s health. Her story and her art have been shared in many books and magazines and recently was featured in “The Huffington Post” by Kathleen Massara, CVS Pharmacy “All Kids Can Create” and “Teen Voices”. Morning Express with Robin Meade chose Amanda as “A Breakthrough Woman” with a story on CNN HLNtv. She is excited to be a Genius of Autism Honoree.
