The McCarton Center for Research assesses the efficacy of interventions that are implemented at The McCarton School. Its research projects focus on both new and traditional therapies and teaching methods for children with autism.
Through publication in peer-reviewed journals and presentations of findings at conferences and seminars, The McCarton Center for Research is able to contribute to the knowledge base of autism treatment. By its active participation in the academic and medical communities, The McCarton Center for Research can circulate vital information to professionals working with children with autism.
The McCarton Center for Research's current projects include studies of various oral motor exercises, evaluation of a tool that helps ensure high-quality group learning ability, and methods of teaching that allow students to best maintain newly mastered skills.
